Hi there!

I’m Eduardo Capella, a passionate WordPress Developer | Software Engineer dedicated to crafting solutions and continuously learning new skills.

In November 2024, I applied for a developer position in Athyna and joined the Tassel™ (former North Star Marketing) team as a WordPress developer. I contribute to the Tassel team by creating WordPress themes and plugins and offering technical support for our customers.

I keep up with my mission: to work in a dynamic team where I can leverage my knowledge and experience to drive growth and make a meaningful contribution. This is what I have to offer:

  • 15+ years of experience with HTML/CSS;
  • 10+ years working with JavaScript/jQuery;
  • 10+ years of PHP development;
  • 10+ specializing in WordPress development;
  • 2+ of React;
  • Experience in creating WordPress themes and plugins from scratch;
  • Experience with WordPress FSE (Full-Site-Editing);
  • Experience in building high-performance websites;
  • Experience with Composer;
  • Experience with package managers and task runners (NPM, Grunt/Gulp);
  • PHP with OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), Namespaces, and Autoload;

Relevant Experiences

I currently teach HTML, CSS, and JavaScript at Brazilian NGO One by One, which supports people with disabilities and their families.

Additionally, I manage the website for Mamma Jamma, a well-known restaurant chain in Brazil. During the pandemic, my skills were put to the test, as the restaurant needed a contactless menu accessible via a QR Code provided in the restaurants. I developed this menu, for around 10 different ‘Houses’, using Custom Post Types (CPTs) and Custom Taxonomies. One of the challenges was that each restaurant had different menu, and items had to be manually ordered, sometimes categorized into three different levels (e.g., Drinks > Wines > Brazilian). This required various skills, including recursive functions, JavaScript drag-and-drop for item organization, and accordions on the front end. Additionaly, the menu had to be available in both Portuguese and English.

My most recent role was as part of the Technical Support Team at WPForms, one of the most widely used WordPress plugins. This position required a broad range of skills, including strict discipline, attention to detail, reporting customer feedback, documenting solutions, and often creating custom PHP and JavaScript snippets. It also involved troubleshooting various issues, and, in my opinion, the most important skill: the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

I hope you have enjoyed!

I’m confident that I can be a valuable asset to any organization—not just from a technical standpoint, but also as a dedicated team player. You can count on me to contribute positively and collaboratively! 🙂

If you think so, please reach out to me through LinkedIn or through the form on the Contact page. Thanks for your time, and have a good one!
